Frequently Asked Questions:
How much will I pay?
The fees are based on your monthly income. If you are attending as a
couple then the fee is based on the monthly income combined. Here is
the sliding scale:
Monthly Income Fee
$1000 and under $30
$1001 - $2000 $40
$2001 - $2500 $50
$2501 - $3500 $60
$3501 - $4000 $70
$4001 and up $80
I've never done this before. What is the process to get started?
The first step is to call me to ask any other questions you may have and to get a feel for me. If you feel comfortable talking with me you can make an appointment with me.
Counseling is a partnership between two people and if you don't feel comfortable with someone we encourage you to find a counselor you do feel comfortable with.
So the first session is generally a time to go over policies, fees, what brought you to counseling, and for you to gauge how you feel with me. Towards the end of the first session I tell you what I can offer you and what I think the frequency of the sessions should be. We both decide if we want to continue counseling with each other and what the frequency will actually be.
We do not check paystubs, so you do not need to bring any paperwork with you.
Generally
sessions are 50 minutes long and scheduled once a week. Depending on
schedules, what you can afford, and severity, sessions can take place
twice per week or once every other week. Rarely we have scheduled every
three weeks or once a month.
Do you take insurance? We do not take insurance but will be happy to provide you with receipts.
